Another part to roadster life are trackdays where there is no oncoming traffic, no pedestrians and almost zero risk. Sure, a run through the Old Pacific Highway or Royal National Park is a nice feeling, but there will always be something in the back of your mind that something unexpected may go wrong — On the track, you are able to go 10/10ths without these thoughts running through your head.
A club I have recently joined, the Nissan Sporting Car Club (NSCC) — I previously had a Nissan — has organised a trackday for all members of the club at Wakefield Park in NSW. This year I plan to attend most if not all their events which include skidpans too. So, in anticipation for this event, today I did some preparations so I would be ready to hit the track.
I raised all 4 corners of the car as I had originally set the car up for more street driving as opposed to track driving. Also swapped wheels from the 17” G-Games to 15” CR Kai copies (yes, I understand. I too am not a fan of copies but they came with the car and I’m still a while away from a fresh set of ballin’ wheels) with 195/50/15 RT215s.
